Cash Fares
Passengers are required to pay the appropriate cash fare or
display a valid bus pass each time they ride the bus. Please have the
correct fare or pass ready when you board the bus. The farebox only
accepts U.S. coins or $1 bills. Drivers do not provide change and do
not accept checks.

Bus Passes
All bus pass sales are final. Refunds and duplicate passes
will not be issued. The City of Cedar Rapids is not responsible for
lost or stolen passes.
31 Day Passes
31 Day Passes are activated on the date of first use on the
bus and are valid for 31 days thereafter. The first use and expiration
dates are listed on the back of the pass when activated on the bus. 31
Day Passes must have the owner’s name on the front to be valid and are
not transferable to other passengers.

10 Ride Passes
10 Ride Passes list the number of remaining rides on the back
of the pass.

Day Passes
$3.00
Day Passes are activated at the time of purchase on the bus and
are valid for the remainder of that day only. The issue and expiration
date is listed on the back of the pass. The cost of a Day Pass is
$3.00.
Qualifications for Reduced Fares
Passengers that qualify for reduced fares must have proof of
their reduced fare eligibility when riding the bus.
Elderly passengers (age 60+) and passengers with disabilities
may qualify for cash half fares and reduced 31 Day and 10 Ride
passes. Proof of age, a Medicare card or a Cedar Rapids Reduced Fare
Identification Card are acceptable documents to qualify for the
reduced fares. Please contact the GTC Information Booth for a
reduced fare application form.
Student passengers must have a valid school identification card
to qualify for a 31 Day Student Pass.
TANF passengers must have a valid Title 19 card to qualify for a
31 Day TANF Pass.
